We Have the Power to Impact Our Town, and We’re Doing It
The society started during the Covid lockdown when the litterpicking co-founders Bal and Tirza met by chance in a local park.
This resulted in the two of them going for a litter pick together where they both agreed on the benefits: being active outside, socialise and working together towards a common purpose.
The reactions from passersby were very positive and encouraging so they started the society that very same day on 18 March 2021.
litter picking events
We organise regular litterpicking eventsย together with fellow local residents. Contact us if you want to clean up your local park or street. Slough Borough Council provides us with the litter pickers and sacks and arranges for the full sacks to be taken away.

cooperation with other community groups
We work together with other community groups to create an even bigger impact. Some of the groups we cooperate with are Slough Happiness Collective, Chalvey Community Partnership and Asda Community Group. Please contact us if you are a community group wanting to help us in the anti-litter fight.

Support from local businesses
We love the support that we are getting from local businesses! For example Asda, fish & chipshop Farmers & Fishermen, Chalvey Supermarket, Mithai Box, Slough BID and the Queensmere Observatory shoppingcentre.

Activism
Weย are very active on social media and have a steadily growing follower base.ย We use our platform to inform the local community and make calls to action.
